Pietro Gallo is a pianist and composer working across classical music and contemporary jazz.
His artistic path moves between tradition and experimentation, combining a strong classical background with a modern and exploratory approach to sound.
He has performed in Italy and internationally in major venues, festivals and cultural institutions, developing projects that range from solo piano to collaborative ensembles.
Alongside his concert activity, he works as a composer for audiovisual media and as an educator, focusing on advanced composition and contemporary music practices.



Biography
Pietro Gallo is a pianist and composer with a solid academic background and an artistic career spanning from classical music to jazz and composition for the audiovisual world.
After graduating in piano, he specialized in solo repertoire, refining his technique through masterclasses with renowned international pianists. He later deepened his studies in jazz piano and jazz composition, further perfecting his skills under the guidance of globally recognized musicians. He also holds a master's degree in "Creative Music Composition for Films, Documentaries, Commercials, and Video Games."
Throughout his career, he has performed concerts in Italy and abroad, playing for prestigious cultural and musical institutions as well as in major theaters and international festivals. Some of his most significant performances include Carnegie Hall (New York), Spectrum Concert Hall NYC, The Jazz Lab (Melbourne), Brisbane Jazz Club, Italian Cultural Institute of Istanbul, Izmir Jazz Festival, ITG Festival of San Antonio, Kailash Mital Theater (Ottawa), University of the Arts of Tirana, University of Coimbra, University of Aveiro, Municipal Conservatory of Thermi, Piacenza Jazz Fest, Bologna Metropolitan Area Jazz Festival, SKG Festival (Thessaloniki), RuidalSud International Festival of Arts, Karditsa International Festival, Novi Sad Cultural Center Festival, Rodi Jazz Fest, Jazzit Fest (Pompeii), Milestone Jazz Club (Piacenza), Padernello Jazz Festival, Ciglana Jazz Club (Belgrade), Café Zeppelin (Novi Sad), Classical Space (Milan) and Zo – Contemporary Culture Center (Catania).
In 2017, he made his debut at Carnegie Hall in New York with a recital dedicated to the modern reinterpretation of Italian opera arias for piano and flugelhorn, as part of the international series "Il Suono Italiano" promoted by CIDM and the Italian Cultural Institute of New York.
In 2019, he released Reimagining Opera, in collaboration with Dario Savino Doronzo (flugelhorn) and Michel Godard (serpent), produced by Digression Music. In 2023, he released Reimagining Aria, in collaboration with Dario Savino Doronzo (flugelhorn) and Gabriele Mirabassi (clarinet), also produced by Digression Music.
In 2023, he also released the solo piano album Scene di un film mai girato, featuring original compositions by Daniele Sardone, produced by Musicforgestudio.
He has collaborated with renowned Italian and international artists, and his work has been featured in specialized publications including JAZZIZ Magazine, Bebop Spoken Here, MusicWeb International, Jazz Quad, Amadeus Magazine, Musica Jazz, JazzIT, Musica Magazine, L'Ape Musicale, Connessi all'Opera, Radio Rai Tre and Radio Vaticana News.
Alongside his concert activity, he works as a composer for film, audiovisual media and video games. His music has been selected and represented by international agencies such as Synchromusic (UK) and Space & Sound Music (Los Angeles).
He is also active as an educator, regularly invited to conduct masterclasses and advanced piano seminars at universities, conservatories and academies in Italy and abroad.
